48-Hour Returns

Return must be initiated with Lowe’s within 48 hours of delivery or the time of pickup at a Lowe’s location.

  • Major Appliances: Refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, ranges, hoods, dishwashers, over-the-range microwaves, cooktops, wall ovens, washer and dryer pedestals
  • Utility vehicles, golf carts, go-karts and motorized bikes must be returned to a Lowe’s store in the original state of purchase with original paperwork including title (if applicable)
  • Air Conditioners and Evaporative Coolers: Portable and window units
  • Paint sprayers
  • Outdoor Power Equipment: Portable generators, pressure washers, chainsaws and pole saws (excludes CRAFTSMAN® battery and electric outdoor power equipment items, which have a 90-day return policy)
  • Exceptions:
    • Items returned in original, unopened, undamaged, factory-sealed packaging or unused if not sold in packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery or the time of pickup.
    • Purchases made with Lowe’s Commercial Account (LCA), MyLowe’s Pro Rewards Credit Card (MLPRC), MyLowe’s Rewards Credit Card (MLRCC), Lowe’s Business Rewards (LBR), Lowe’s PreLoad Plus Mastercard® or Lowe’s Lease to Own (LTO) may be returned within 30 days of delivery or the time of pickup. Excludes Outdoor Power Equipment.

30-Day Returns

  • Liquid paint 
  • TVs and electronics 
  • Water heaters 
  • Outdoor Power Equipment: Mowers, trimmers, trimmer attachments, edgers, blowers, snow throwers, augers, tillers, chippers/shredders, log splitters, cultivators, subcompact tractors, and subcompact tractor attachments (excludes CRAFTSMAN® battery and electric outdoor power equipment items, which have a 90-day return policy)

Nonrefundable Items

  • Labor and installation charges
  • Delivery and/or Lowes.com shipping charges (unless due to Lowe’s error)
  • In-store credits, refund cards and merchandise cards
  • Any gift card, including Lowe’s, third-party, Visa® or Mastercard® gift cards
  • Safety masks or facial coverings
  • Highway trailers
  • Whole house generators
  • As-is merchandise
  • Paint samples
  • Biohazardous Risk: Items that may have encountered bodily fluids or waste cannot be returned once used, regardless of current condition

Special Order Configured Products Restocking Fees

Special Order configured products returned or canceled after 72 hours from purchase are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Must be returned to the store where the product was purchased. The restocking fee will be taxed in select states. This restocking fee applies to installed sales unless otherwise provided in your installation contract or Right to Cancel.

Holiday Items

Christmas and Halloween items must be returned on or before the day of the holiday. Items purchased after the holiday are final sales, and no returns will be accepted.

Plants

For replacement or refund, a receipt is required for any tree, shrub or perennial purchased at Lowe’s within one year of the original purchase date. All other plants fall under our 90-day return policy.

CRAFTSMAN® Outdoor Power Equipment

CRAFTSMAN® corded and cordless outdoor power equipment has a 90-day return policy.

Outlet Sales

Additional Requirements

These remedies are your exclusive remedies. All other remedies are hereby excluded. All warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are expressly excluded. The exclusions herein are subject to and may be limited by application of law and you may have additional rights which vary from state to state.
